Holster Photos

These are photos of a World War One era C96 Mauser pistol. Because of the shape of the pistol grip they were nicknamed the Broomhandle Mauser. Originally chambered for the 7.63x25mm Mauser cartridge, this one was made in 9x19mm for the German Army during World War One. These were marked with a red number 9 on each grip so the shooter would use the correct type of ammunition.

We went through a box of holsters at a local gun shop to see the mix of styles and materials. There were 12 holsters in the box; 5 leather, 4 nylon, 2 polymer, and 1 canvas. One holster is a police duty style, two are WWII era military pistol holsters, one is a modern military drop leg holster, four are CCW style, three are general purpose and one is a cowboy style for a single action revolver http://holsterbuyersguide.com/Articles.php?action=detail&g=content1235459754
