Nylon holsters are light, soft and inexpensive. Many are generic sizes that fit several guns, which makes them a common first holster and a good choice for pocket and backup guns.

Why shooters choose nylon
- Low cost and widely available.
- Light and comfortable, with a padded feel.
- Rough-textured pocket models stay put when the gun is drawn.
Trade-offs
- Usually collapses after the draw, making reholstering a two-hand job.
- Less retention than molded Kydex or leather.
- Generic fits may not fully cover every trigger guard; always check.
